Salam Games ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of children and families who use our website. We believe that children should be able to learn and play in a safe online environment.

👶 Children's Privacy

We take children's privacy extremely seriously and design the site to collect as little data as possible:

• ✅ We do NOT collect personal information from children
• ✅ We do NOT require account creation or login
• ✅ We do NOT use targeted advertising
• ✅ We do NOT share any data with third parties for marketing
• ✅ Game scores and names are stored locally on the device only

This policy describes our technical privacy practices. It is not a legal compliance certification.

📊 Self-Hosted Analytics

We run our own privacy-minimal analytics system on our own server to understand, in aggregate, which games and pages are used. The fields we store per event are limited to:

• • Time (UTC), event type, and page path (no query string)
• • Daily session ID — a random ID stored in sessionStorage that rotates each day. No persistent child identifier is stored.
• • Coarse device class (mobile / tablet / desktop) — no exact screen size, no timezone, no full browser user-agent
• • Referrer origin and browser language (short code only)

We do NOT store your IP address — not raw, and not as a hash. No IP-derived value is kept. We do NOT store your full user-agent string.

We respect Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. When either is active, no analytics event is recorded.

Self-hosted analytics data is retained for a maximum of 90 days, after which it is automatically deleted.

📈 Google Analytics 4 (Still Present)

Google Analytics 4 (GA4, tag G-8NBY8MF10G) is currently still loaded on most pages. We are reviewing whether to remove it. While it remains, Google may set cookies and collect data according to its own policies. The Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control protections described above apply to our own analytics. They do not by themselves establish that Google Analytics is disabled.

🍪 Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies:

• • Google Analytics cookies: Set by GA4 while it remains on the site (see above). A decision on its removal is pending.
• • Local storage / sessionStorage: Used to save game progress and earned badges on your device only. The analytics session ID lives in sessionStorage and is cleared when the browser is closed.

Our self-hosted analytics does not set any tracking cookies on visitors.

🔗 Third-Party Services

Fonts and page styles are served from Salam Games. Our games may use the following third-party services:

• • Google Analytics: Website usage analytics
• • Quran recitation: Audio is requested from the Islamic Network CDN when you use the Quran player.
• • Optional letter voices: Provided by your browser or device; availability varies.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
